What Is A Lead Magnet?

A Lead Magnet is a tool, used on your website, to incentivise visitors to swap their email address (or other contact information) in return for a special offer such as a discount, a free ebook or some other valuable freebie, as well as gaining permission to send them future marketing communications.

There will be a small pop-up form or other embedded form on your website, where visitors complete their details, which are then automatically added to your email marketing list.

How To Create An Irresistible Lead Magnet

When creating a Lead Magnet, you need to really think about what you will give away that your target audience will value.   It needs to grab their attention and be that irresistible that they can’t resist popping their email address into your nice little, data capturing, Lead Magnet form. If you have different target audiences it may be that you create different lead magnets or try to think of one that will be suitable for all.  You can also use Landing Pages but that’s another blog for another day!
